Our Story
From football talks to a growing community
Juakali Friends CBO started with young people in Mathare who met around football match talks.
Those conversations revealed shared struggles - rent, daily needs - and we chose to help each other.
We pooled contributions through a shared M-Pesa account, saving together and supporting members in need each month. As more people joined, the group grew.
Today we mix physical and digital membership, with savings, welfare, Chama Points, and last-expense cover.

Positively transforming the lives of our members through the provision of efficient and quality socio-economic services both in production and marketing systems in a manner that is eco-friendly nationally.
Mission
Uplifting the living standard of the entire members by bringing them together and engaging them into development projects such as sensitization and capacity building, production, value addition, transport, marketing, and linkages to businesses and environmental conservation.
